I moved publications and was writing for a national daily in less than a year and I continued through my BA, MA and a couple of years after that. Here are some snippets of my work, documented meticulously with love:
My first video production, Kalam Ko Teer Ban Ne Do is the directorial debut for Shubham Thakur, my batchmate and an emerging indigenous rights film maker. This film had extensive research and conceptualization support from our faculty Shri Prakash. The Film documents the struggle of Indigenous writers to find space in a normative setting that doesn't allow for narratives that are different.
Made as a part of a documentray competition by Scroll.in, Ulugulan translates to 'war cry'. It documents the journey of indigenous rights activist Dayamani Barla and her negotiations with the harsh realities of the modern world. She highlights how her community has been intrinsically sustainable and how the world can learn from Adivasis the right way to conserve nature and commit to its preservation
